Premier League: Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was named as the Premier League Player of the Month for September. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta won the Premier League Manager of the Month. This was the fifth Player of the Month award for the superstar after earning four during his first spell at the club. Ronaldo has scored five goals in his first six appearances including three from three in September. Joao Cancelo, Antonio Rudiger, Allan Saint-Maximin, Mohamed Salah, and Ismalia Sarr were the other nominees for the award.

“Proud to be elected Player Of The Month among so many great players in the Premier League.” Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo said on Twitter. “Thanks to all my teammates at Man United, couldn’t have done it without them. Let’s keep working hard and the results will come!”

“He’s been brilliant.” Jesses Lingard said. “He’s brought so much to the team. The leadership factor, he wants to win in training, he wants to win in games and he wants to win trophies, which is the main thing. He’s great to be around to watch what he does.”

“You can learn so many things from him. He’s one of the best players in the world. To have him back home is perfect for us at the moment.” he added. “He’s really humble. He’s a positive person. To be learning different things off the field as well as on it has been really good. I think he can really help out the team this season.”
