Premier League club Arsenal owners have no intention of selling the club. This squash reports that they wanted to sell their stake after involvement in the European Super League. Josh Kroenke revealed that the backlash they received hasn’t deterred them from taking the club forward. Premier League club Arsenal was one of the founding members of the now collapsed European Super League. Amid widespread backlash, they announced that they would be withdrawing from the competition.

“We were put in a very difficult position by forces outside of the club,” Josh Kroenke’s son said. “We have the same plans for summer that we had several weeks ago and I’m still excited about those. I might be met with mistrust and skepticism, but over time I hope to establish some sort of relationship with our supporter groups and show them we are capable of taking our club forward.”

Josh Kroenke revealed that their decision to sign up for the European Super League was to safeguard the club’s future. He said that they had no intentions of selling their stake in the club. Stan Kroenke rook full control of Arsenal in 2018. “The first question we asked was: what is worse, a Super League or a Super League without Arsenal? We decided a Super League without Arsenal was the worst,” he added.

David Ornstein has said that both Arsenal director Kroenke and Venkatesham deserved credit for speaking directly to Arsenal fans on their forum. “Arsenal fronted up last night, I haven’t seen any other club front up yet. They should be applauded for their accountability on that front,” he said. “They apologized like some of the other clubs involved have unreservedly, but they are apologizing for the hurt that they have caused not because they did not think that this was a good idea. They all thought it was a good idea, they are not stupid people, they went in with their eyes open. They thought they knew better than the fans.”
