Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has maintained that he is happy at Old Trafford as the speculation about his future continues to gain traction.
The 27-year deal is due to expire in June 2022, and Mino Raiola, the midfielder’s lawyer, recently insisted that contract extensions would not be discussed by his client.
However, Pogba has suggested that he is open to remaining at Old Trafford as he is ‘enjoying himself’ after obviously surviving a tough time.
“You were waiting for this one, weren’t you? I’m under contract, I’m here. I’m enjoying myself. I’m here. Everybody knows I have one year left and I speak with the club and see what’s going on,” Pogba told Rio Ferdinand on the YouTube channel of BT Sport.
“As I say, now, my objective, my goal is to win something. That’s all I’m thinking about is winning. Bring all my energy, give my best to help the team the most I can, and to win something. That’s all I’m focusing on. The contract, that’s not important, it’s to win.”
