While speaking to Canal+, football agent Bruno Satin revealed that Pochettino is keen on signing Aguero next summer. At the end of the present season, the legend of Manchester City sees his contract off.

To extend his stay, the heavyweights of the Premier League do not appear to be on the table.

In June, Man City’s all-time leading goalscorer will be a free agent and is already allowed to negotiate and enter into a pre-contract with future clubs. The Argentine striker, Pochettino believes, could add to the already supportive attack in the French capital. The Argentine tactician is looking to add a decent striker to his squad, with the likes of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe on either flank.

The appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has induced a new wave of energy at the Parc des Princes, with the club keen to win the Champions League title under the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur. Several top football stars, including the likes of Barcelona icon Lionel Messi, have been associated with the defending Ligue 1 champions. Now, Sergio Aguero, his Argentine teammate, has come under Pochettino’s radar.

Edinson Cavani, PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer, left the club last summer and is now pursuing his trade with Manchester United.

The Ligue 1 giants made Mauro Icardi’s loan deal permanent, but he failed to fill in the boots of the departing Uruguayan international.

Aguero has endured a difficult start to the current campaign more so due to his knee injury, which he sustained towards the business end of the previous season. He has managed only nine appearances in all competitions this season, racking up 260 minutes of game time in all.
