Juventus approached Sunday’s loss to Inter with the wrong attitude, according to trainer Andrea Pirlo. Andrea Pirlo is not about to call time on Juventus’ Serie A defense, despite fuming at the way they ceded control to Inter in a damaging defeat on Sunday.
Juve is now seven points behind the Milan and Inter leaders, and if the Rossoneri win on Monday, they could drop the pace by 10 points.
The Inter pair set a pace that was not matched by Juve, recognized by coach Pirlo.
“We got the attitude wrong from the beginning,” Pirlo told Sky Sport.
“It becomes impossible when you don’t have the rage and resolve to try and win duels in these matches. We were too passive. This is a bad defeat; we were not expecting it. We couldn’t have had a worse match than this one, but now we have to lift our heads because on Wednesday [Supercoppa Italiana vs. Napoli] we’re going to play a final.”
