Pioli on 2-1 with Roma: “Milan could have scored more”

Football News

Stefano Pioli, Milan’s head coach, has summed up the Serie A match against Roma (2-1).

“I assured the team that two losses would not distract from the trust we had built up over the course of the year. We haven’t done as well as we had hoped in the last few weeks, and that should inspire us even more,” Pioli said at the press conference.

“We had a fantastic first half today and should have scored a lot more. It was a fast-paced match, which is exactly how we like to play. We were up against a formidable foe and had to concede – it happens – but the boys deserve credit.”
