Relations have heated up between Real Madrid and Inter.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, the president of the Madrid club, Florentino Perez, asked Inter for assurances to pay for defender Achraf Hakimi’s relocation.
If not, the manager demands that the player returns to Madrid.
Inter also refused to make the first payment for the player of EUR 10 million. It was announced that it had been decided by Real Madrid to delay it until 30 March.
Sources at the Madrid club, however, claim that this deal had to be followed by a variety of guarantees. Inter deny they do exist.
The Italian club claims that they behaved properly. They reported financial problems, demanded, and negotiated a delay.
In the summer transfer window, Hakimi joined Inter. The contract cost the Milan club, minus bonuses, 40 million euros.
In all competitions this season, he has played 24 games for Inter, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists.
