Parma stretched its winless streak to 13 Serie A games with a 2-1 loss on Monday at Hellas Verona that deepened its relegation worries.

Parma has lost nine of its last 10 matches in the league, drawing the other, leaving it second from the bottom of the Serie A standings with four safety points.

In the eighth minute, when Juraj Kucka converted a penalty after goalkeeper Marco Silvestri brought Yann Karamoh down. Verona had lost three of its last four matches, and Parma took the lead.

But just five minutes later, when Parma’s midfielder Alberto Grassi turned Federico Dimarco’s shot into his net, Verona was level.

Until Antonín Barák scored the winner when he headed in a corner in the 61st, both parties came close to going in front.
