Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning ways in Ligue 1 with a victory over 10-man Lorient thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean. Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean were on task for Paris Saint-Germain as they profited from the costly red card of Andrew Gravillon to beat Lorient 2-0 in Wednesday’s Ligue 1 clash.
PSG began the game four points adrift of Lille and took time to get going after the previous 2-0 win at Dijon by the league leaders, while Ander Herrera came closest to a first-half breakthrough when hitting the crossbar.
However, Gravillon was disqualified for bringing down Mbappe early in the second half at the Parc des Princes and the PSG forward brushed himself down to convert the ensuing penalty.
Kean fired a second goal nine minutes later and PSG was under little pressure from that point on as they climbed to second ahead of Lyon, going into Sunday’s huge top-of-the-table showdown with Lille.
