Tottenham failed in a 1-1 draw with Wolves to get a shot on target after the 21st minute, much to the chagrin of Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho said that Tottenham lacked the’ drive and determination’ to push for a victory over Wolves.
Tottenham have now lost nine points this season, most of any side in the Premier League, due to conceding goals in the last 10 minutes of matches, although Mourinho’s team is without a win in four league matches.
Mourinho replied to Sky Sports when asked if the outcome and results had upset him.
he said: “I am I typically one point against Wolves wouldn’t be a bad outcome – they’re a tough foe, but it feels difficult to score a goal in the first minute and have control of the game for the rest of it and to have 89 minutes to score more goals. I don’t want to say a lot. I know the way I’m training the team; I know what the players are looking for, I know what I told them at half-time.
“More than that, I don’t want to say. I give Wolves some credit because they placed pressure on us, a pressure that we coped with, managed the game very well, even though they were losing, but we did not have the ambition and willingness to go for more.”
