On Wednesday, the General Sports Authority announced that Saudi Arabia would host the Italian Super Cup – also known as the Supercoppa Italiana – between AC Milan and Juventus early next year.
The Supercoppa Italiana will be held in Saudi Arabia next season, with Inter and Juventus meeting. For the 11th time in its 30-year history, for the eighth time in the last 12 editions, it will be held outside of the United States. Because of the pandemic, the most recent one was conducted in Reggio Emilia.

“We signed it two or three years ago when I wasn’t in charge,” says the author of the deal. “We have a close working relationship with their Football Association, both in terms of women’s football and in terms of assisting them in moving in the right direction in terms of human rights.”
“The next Supercoppa will be in Saudi Arabia in front of an audience, as included in our contract. It would be a place where we will play football,” Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino said in an interview with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.
“The Kingdom will see the final of the 2019 Italian Super Cup, which will pit Juventus and AC Milan against each other early next year,” says a tweet on Twitter.
The Saudi Sports Authority also shared photos and videos of Saudi Sports Authority Leader Turki Al-Sheikh and Marco Brunelli. The photo had the Italian professional football league president, signing a contract.
Juventus won the Coppa Italia for the fourth time in a row last month. They defeated AC Milan 4-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. It was the team’s 13th Coppa victory.
Three of the next four Supercoppas will be held in Saudi Arabia, according to a deal signed in 2018. The previous two were held in Jeddah’s King Abdallah Sports City and Riyadh’s King Saud University Stadium. It is now known as Mrsool Park. In the first, Juventus defeated Milan, but a year later, they were defeated by Lazio.
