Atletico Madrid’s LaLiga title dreams were shattered when they were beaten 1-0 away at Sevilla.

Jan Oblak saved a goal for the league leaders in the first half, but it wasn’t enough to keep Sevilla from taking the lead by Marcos Acuna.

Barcelona will have a chance to narrow the gap to one point when they play Real Valladolid on Monday night.

In the first hour, Sevilla had several opportunities. With 8 minutes remaining, the home team had an opportunity to take a 1-0 lead when Lucas Ocampos missed a penalty kick. A minute later, Sevilla had a new opportunity when de Jong fired from close range, but one of Atletico’s defenders was in the right position.

In the 68th minute, Oblak defended brilliantly again, and Ocampos fired powerfully from the edge of the penalty area.

Seville’s pressure paid off in the 70th minute when Jesus Navas sent a pass into the penalty box, where Marcos Acuna scored.
