As goals from Arturo Vidal and Nicolo Barella gave them a comfortable 2-0 win over Juventus on Sunday night to go top of Serie A, Inter came on top in the Derby d’Italia.
With Vidal haunting his former club by nodding home Barella’s well-placed cross, the hosts took the lead within 12 minutes. With Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku both missing opportunities to extend their lead, Inter pressed home their advantage for the rest of the half.
It was more of the same after the break and Inter doubled their advantage when the sumptuous long ball of Alessandro Bastoni set Barella through on target, who then smashed it into the net roof.
