Marcus Rashford has hit out claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is undermining the unity within the dressing room. Ronaldo ended his six-game goal drought with a goal against Brighton that helped them up to fourth in the Premier League. Christian Falk, a leading German journalist posted that Rashford and Harry Maguire had taken exception to Ronaldo’s behavior.
“Are we just making it up as we go along now then?”, Marcus Rashford wrote on Twitter replying to a report about Cristiano Ronaldo. “Please stop looking for divides.”
“It was an amazing goal,” Rangnick said. “Not only an important one but an amazing one. Overall it was also a good performance from Cristiano. Energetically he was always trying to help his teammates. I think in the last weeks, definitely it was the best performance by him and a very, very important goal for us.”
“Ralf just wants me to do my best. He knows the energy I have but also the quality I have,” Fred said. “Obviously, he has a different way of working from the previous manager, but we have to adapt to that. We have to start again. That’s not easy, but we need to give everything we have in training. We have had good results and not-so-good results in the last few games but we’re really happy with the win against Brighton and we now need to keep improving. We’ve got an intense month with a lot of important games, so we need to continue giving our best.”
