Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti said he was excited about the possibility of playing for the Ligue 1 champions alongside Lionel Messi.
At the end of the season, Barcelona superstar Messi is out of contract and the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has been closely linked to the Manchester City giants of the PSG and Premier League.
PSG star Verratti addressed his potential arrival in Paris as Messi’s future dominated the headlines.
“Of course, I would like to play with Messi,” said Italian international Verratti to Canal+.
“It would be something magnificent to have him in the team, one more thing football would give me.
“I would give the ball to Neymar and Messi and stay behind to just [enjoy] watching them a bit.”
