Manchester United center-back Harry Maguire expressed his belief that Manchester United would wish to be “mentally solid” to return to the highest while expressing his intention to win trophies within the years to return.
Maguire has agreed to a six-year contract at Old Trafford after making a landmark £80 million ($99 m) move from Leicester last year, making him the foremost expensive player within the world. The 27-year-old has since justified his tag by helping turn the Red Devils into a robust defensive force once more, establishing a strong partnership with Victor Lindelof at the rear.
The player accepts the very fact that United was always too volatile within the half of the season but claims positive signs of progress were seen in 2020. “Like a Red, we are our worst enemy,” Maguire said during an MUTV Q&A. “I would agree that sometimes this year we’d have let ourselves down as a team by being a touch more illogical.”
“There were times once we played so competitively, then we dropped a touch bit and were disciplined. So I’d say we’re our biggest enemy.” “We got to be mentally strong. We are a youth community so we just don’t need to form use of it as an excuse. we would like to be young but we still want to be old. this is often where we’ve been picked up within the last few weeks.
Following his arrival at the stage of Dreams back in August, Maguire outlined his silverware dreams and doubled his remarks when outlining his potential goals.
“I have joined this club because I would like trophies to be won and that I want silverware,” he said. “I want to form sure that I even have a couple of medals within the cabinet once I reminisce on my time at Manchester United.”
