As Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata is associated with the Reds, Liverpool may reportedly be able to make changes upfront in the January transfer window.

International Colombia has been a prolific Atalanta scorer and may at the moment be a valuable choice for Liverpool as Don Balon says Jurgen Klopp is trying to get someone else in to help cope with the lack of form of Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian forward has long been a real fan favorite at Anfield, but in recent times, he seems to have lost his scoring touch, with Zapata may be looking at the moment for a superior choice.

Don Balon says Liverpool will try to sign Zapata for around €40 million, and fans will expect to give them in their front three something a little different.

LFC have not looked their normal selves in front of goal in recent weeks, as they have gone three Premier League matches without a victory, scoring only once in that stretch. He just doesn’t seem to be giving Klopp’s side what they need at the moment with all Firmino’s qualities, so it’s maybe unsurprising to see someone like Zapata being considered.

The 29-year-old has 55 goals in all competitions in 101 games for Atalanta and has also shone previously for clubs like Napoli and Serie A Udinese.
