Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has detailed that promising winger Leroy Sane has declined the new contract offer from the club and will leave the club this summer as long as they obtain a suitable offer or at the finish of their contract when it lapses in the summer of 2021.

The 24-year-old German international hasn’t been playing since he endured a torn ACL in August 2019 and faced a difficult task to turn into a regular starter regardless of being healthy at this point.

“Leroy said he wouldn’t like to draw out the deal because it means he wants to leave and that will happen this summer or when he’s out of the deal. The club talked to me, they wanted to expand his deal a few times, he declined it because it means he wants to play at another club,” said Guardiola during the public interview on Friday.

On the off chance that we arrive at a deal with another club at the finish of this season, he will leave. On the off chance that he doesn’t stay for another year and leave when out of the contract.

Sane has always been connected to a transition to Bayern Munich and a move makes ideal sense to the two parties. The city needs to dispose of a player who doesn’t fit in with their plans anymore and wouldn’t like to be there, while Sane is searching for regular minutes.

Sane sparkled with 14 goals in the 2017-18 season and caught up with 16 in the following season, however, his position gradually began to change towards more than one seat player. He has appeared in just one match this season because of the injury.

For City, keeping a player with that potential would be pleasant, yet the club has no shortage of choices to attack with Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and others.
