Kepa never thought of leaving Chelsea. Kepa spoke about it to COPE.
“I never thought of leaving Chelsea,” Kepa told COPE.
“In my very good [first] season, we won the Europa League, qualified for the Champions League and I played for the national team. For the second year, we changed coaches. With Lampard, there was no problem [even though] I didn’t give my best version [and] it’s true I didn’t play the way I wanted to play.”
“I have no problem with it [but] I want to turn it around. Start playing a little. I would like to be here and feel better, and I would like to look forward to the future. I am not getting carried away [with the back-to-back starts], but they felt good after inactivity. I think I’ll play more soon.”
At Chelsea, what I want is to feel important, get back to the goal, and enjoy myself. I believe in my head that I can do it. I’m not nervous. I would like to feel more necessary and to strive for it. We’ll see what’s going to happen.’
In recent months, Kepa has held two clean sheets against Barnsley in the FA Cup and Newcastle in the Premier League.
