According to reports reported on the AS, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema got tests on the groin injury he picked up during the 4-1 loss to Valencia and those tests showed that the French striker does not have a serious injury and should be prepared to face Villarreal right after this ongoing FIFA break.
Given that Benzema is a key player for coach Zinedine Zidane, this is fantastic news for Los Blancos. Also, the next two games for Real Madrid will be against Villarreal and Inter Milan, both away, and they will need to be as ready to perform as possible, given that those two matches could be crucial.
It will be fascinating to see if, during this FIFA break, Madrid will recover Militao, Casemiro, and Hazard, as all three of them are currently out after testing positive for Covid-19. Soon after the break, Carvajal and Odriozola may also be back, so Real Madrid can eventually regain some of their depth.
