According to the Mirror, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp intends to take three first-team players on loan this summer to strengthen his roster. The manager is considering releasing Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who have struggled to get minutes on the pitch during Liverpool’s poor season since winning the cup.
Shaqiri has done well in recent years, but it seems he is no longer able to contribute when taken off the bench, and Origi has continued to fail to score when needed, although Oxlade-Chamberlain has been hindered by the major injury he sustained. Klopp would benefit from encouraging them to quit for a few minutes somewhere to collect funds for younger alternatives.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be preparing a summer clear-out at Liverpool, with three first-team players potentially leaving.
Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain seem to be in danger of losing their employment.
The trio has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield, with Origi and Shaqiri’s performances being criticized on several occasions this season.
“They’ve got nothing upfront,” Graeme Souness proclaimed after Klopp selected the pair against West Ham.
“I’m sorry, but Origi and Shaqiri aren’t up to the task. Mohamed Salah is all alone up there. We’re used to Mane taking on opponents and Firmino slipping in deft passes.”
More stars are set to leave in the clear-out, according to the Independent, but Origi, Shaqiri, and Oxlade-Chamberlain are likely to be the biggest ones.
Klopp’s Liverpool has struggled this season and has dropped out of contention for the Premier League title.
They are already in the Champions League and heard on Friday that they will face Real Madrid in the competition’s quarter-finals this season.
