Jurgen Klopp has revealed that several different players will require wellness tests

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Virgil van Dijk will be available Saturday to face Crystal Palace, however several different players will require late wellness tests, including Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson.

Goal’s Neil Jones shared news from Friday’s German question and answer session.

Van Dijk failed to feature a 5-0 win over Estonia on Tuesday in the Netherlands.

According to Liverpool Echo’s Ian Doyle, Klopp added on Salah: “He trained yesterday. He’s been training the things we want him to do. It isn’t so much that he ‘s deteriorated, it’s simply that [injury] is still there. We have to be reasonable. I have to see the meeting today before I make a choice.”

During the international break, both Salah and Robertson were unable to feature for their national teams because of ankle issues.

Per Doyle, Klopp added that from the international break Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, and Georginio Wijnaldum have come back to the club late and have yet to demonstrate their availability.

Since September, Xherdan Shaqiri hasn’t been featured for the Reds because of a calf injury, yet Klopp gave the club an update on his arrival and future, per James Pearce of The Athletic. Shaqiri may just be a squad player at Anfield, however, his arrival will be valuable to the Reds in the coming weeks.

Liverpool will play at least 12 matches among Saturday and January 2—13 on the off chance that they reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup—while the planned clash with West Ham United on December 21 has been deferred to an obscure date.

Klopp talked about how the club will deal with the wild calendar:

At the point when they play Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on December 17 and in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup in Qatar the following day the Reds should separate their squad.
