The German national team’s head coach, Joachim Löw, spoke about the ideals of team formation.
“Now, without Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng, I plan to create a team. If the pre-Euro scenario changes, if we lose a lot of players, then I’m going to change my view of the situation. I see no need now [to invite them],” Löw said at a press conference.
He thought about Mario Gotze as well.
“For him, I am very pleased. His goal in the 2014 World Cup final was not only very significant, of course, but also set a high level of standards,” Löw added.
“I was in favor of his decision to leave the Bundesliga. Now he plays well, but he needs time. In a long time, he hasn’t been on the field.”
