Head coach Joachim Löw will step down after Euro 2020

According to the DFB, Germany’s head coach Joachim Löw will step down after Euro 2020.

After the European Championship, the 61-year-old specialist has requested that his contract, which was initially set to run until the 2022 World Cup, be terminated. His appeal was approved by the German Football Association.

Since 2006, Löw has served as Germany’s manager. In 2014, he was crowned world champion, bronze medalist in 2010, and Confederations Cup winner in 2017.

Germany placed second in the European Championships under Leo in 2008 and won bronze in 2012 and 2016.

In 2014, Löw was elected FIFA Coach of the Year.
