Pep Guardiola, the head coach of Manchester City and a former coach of Barcelona, has spoken out about the “Barcagate” case and his views on the arrest of former club president Josep Bartomeu.

“I understand it’s a difficult situation. I’m hoping for a positive outcome. “Until the court proves him guilty, Bartomeu cannot be found guilty,” Guardiola told The Athletic.

“The only thing that concerns me right now is that in a week, we will have a new president. I’d like to extend my congratulations to all three candidates for their efforts in this campaign.”

“Of course, the whole world, and Barcelona in particular, is in a difficult situation. For a variety of causes, many of which are well-known. These individuals possess the necessary confidence to lead the club in the coming years.”

“I hope that as many people as possible vote and that the right president is elected to lead this amazing club. For nostalgic purposes, this is the best club in the world for me.”
