Fulham did not do any harm to their favorites tag as they put up a dominant performance against Hull to win 2-0. Aleksandr Mitrovic and Fabio Carvalho helped complete the football scores in a comfortable victory. They move to the top of the Championship standings with 10 points in four games. The hosts had injury concerns though with Tim Ream and Kenny Tete limping off. Carvalho was forced off due to an injury late on as well.
Fulham came out of the blocks all guns blazing and had their first chance with four minutes on the clock. Josh Onomah failed to get his shot on target. Alfie Mawson replaced Tim ream when he fell awkwardly. Mitrovic scored from a corner a minute after the substitution. Bobby Decordova-Reid replaced Kenny Tete with the substitution once again followed by a goal.
Fulham’s Marco Silva: “I’m happy with the three points because we asked our players before the game to aim for the target of the third win in a row, with the first home win as well. If you achieve that, I’m happy. It wasn’t the best performance to be honest with you. In this competition, with the level that you are, it was not the perfect performance that we had against Millwall.”
Hull’s Grant McCann: “Their first goal I’m really disappointed with. Having watched it back it’s a block on Jacob. It’s disappointing because it’s right in front of the referee. Fulham is a possession-based team, we have to stay compact and in shape. I think we did that in the second half.”
