Football Scores

Fulham kept hold of the lead as they produced a comeback win in one of the close football scores of the weekend in the Championship. The home side dominated the possession and should have been leading comfortably but threw away a few good chances. They were made to pay when Dominic Solanke scored a few seconds after the restart. Aleksandar Mitrovic was denied a number of chances but was saved when Tosin Adarabioyo headed home with five minutes of normal time left.

Managers Reaction

Fulham’s Marco Silva: “I think anyone can see that we clearly deserved more. During the 95 minutes, we were the best team on the pitch, the team that created and had more chances to score. There were some very good saves from the goalkeeper. We knew before the match it would be a tough one and I have to say that I am proud of my players. For one second we lost the focus, discipline and organization and they punished us.”

Bournemouth’s Scott Parker: “I’m really pleased and I’m proud of my team. There’s no denying we have had it difficult over the last couple of weeks with injuries – there were four or five players out there with one day’s training and I’m very proud of the team, to be quite honest. There are bits of our game we need to improve but tonight, in terms of the circumstances we find ourselves in currently, nothing but pride for the team and the players.”
