Brentford beat Arsenal in their Premier League debut with a scintillating display. This was their first game in the top flight since 1947 in their new stadium and will be one of the shocking football scores in the premier league this season. Brentford took the lead after Sergi Canos caught Bernd leno out at the near post in the 22nd minute. Arsenal had a disastrous Performace up the pitch. They managed to find the target just four times out of the 22 shots taken.
Arsenal put up an improved performance in the second half but could not grab the equalizer. The fixtures don’t get easier with them hosting Champions League winners Chelsea followed by a trip to Premier League champions Manchester City.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank: “The fans were amazing, what an atmosphere. I’m a bit speechless.” he added. ”First time in the top flight, we’re opening the Premier League season, fans can dream we’re number one in the Premier League. It’s a fantastic story. We’re just a bus stop in Hounslow, we’re not supposed to be here. We will celebrate every win, but we want more.”
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta: “I’m disappointed. It’s not the way we wanted to start the season.” he added. ”We didn’t start well, conceding a goal in an isolated incident. We didn’t cope well with the second balls or long balls. And that’s all they needed to create problems for us. Then we conceded from a long throw. The biggest worry was our threat in front of goal.”
