Wolves dealt Everton a huge blow in their fight for survival as they produced one of the narrow football results of the weekend in the Premier League. Conor Coady scored the only goal of the game in the 49th minute to ensure a fifth defeat in six games as manager. The home side was frustrated with Jonjoe Kenny being sent off after receiving a second yellow card. The team was met with boos from all corners of Goodison Park while leaving the pitch.

Managers Reaction
Everton boss Frank Lampard: “The goal changes the game because it completely changes the atmosphere in the stadium. We had to try to react to that and then as we started to react we lose a man later in the game. It is what it is, we lose the game and have to look to the next. When you’re in the moment when things aren’t going for you, you have to keep working until things turn in your favor. We have a belief here but at the moment it’s tough. It’s been a long time since the club has not been winning the games we want. We have to keep fighting and keep working, simple as that.”
“The Premier League gives you tough games every game. We need to turn a corner somehow. It can only come through work and confidence. Everyone wants the same thing here. We want to stay in the Premier League but the first thing is to keep fighting for it,” he added.
