Norwich earned their first point in the Premier League after one of the boring football results of the weekend in the Premier League. The hosts will feel hard done as they had as many as four first-half penalty appeals turned down. Matej Vydra himself was denied three penalty claims before being substituted after suffering an injury after 35 minutes.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: “It’s another good performance. The consistency is there. We’ve offered enough to win a game today and it was a good clean sheet. We were just lacking a cutting edge. We need a bit of luck. We can’t get the decision. Our penalty record is horrendous but there are two or three today… certainly, the one on Vydra when he gets in behind and he gets a clear push from Hanley in the back. I’ve seen them given. I don’t know what a clear penalty is anymore.”
Norwich boss Daniel Farke: “A first step. We were not too far away today from winning this game but I just have compliments for the lads. When you have lost the first six games, a difficult pre-season because of the COVID outbreak, and then to come here to Turf Moor, a really tough place to go, with their direct and physical approach, to make sure you’re absolutely solid and defending, this is what we were. It’s definitely a good result.”
