Eric Bailly to snub a contract offer from the club

Football News

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is said to be turning down a contract offer from the club. The Ivorian’s new contract with the Red Devils expires in the summer of 2022.

According to The Sun, Eric Bailly has been dissatisfied with his lack of playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in recent seasons and will not sign a contract extension with Manchester United.

Eric Bailly was left out of Solskjaer’s Manchester United squad to face AC Milan in the Europa League at the San Siro in midweek, with the Norwegian saying that Bailly was ‘being measured.’

Eric Bailly transferred to Manchester United from Villarreal in the summer of 2016 in a £30 million contract. Because of his speed and physical qualities, the 26-year-old quickly blended into the Premier League.

However, Bailly’s success at Manchester United has been plagued by recurring injuries and poor form. In recent years, the Ivory Coast international has often acted as a replacement choice to Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.

Despite being regarded as one of Manchester United’s most instinctively talented defenders by coaches, supporters, and analysts, Bailly has only appeared 15 times for the club this season. Just seven of those appearances happened in the Premier League.

According to an insider, Bailly has had enough and feels unwanted and disrespected by the boss. Eric Bailly is said to be considering leaving the club in search of consistent playing time.
