Eibar remains in a tough situation after crashing to a two-goal home defeat against Osasuna, who are currently only two points from the top half.

Ruben Garcia struck twice for the visitors – in the 6th and 74th minutes individually – to earn a third progressive La Liga win on the turn for Jagoba Arrasate’s side.

Going into this apparatus, Eibar had made sure about progressive La Liga victories against Valencia and Granada separately to lift them clear of the drop zone, yet Mallorca’s 5-1 win over Celta Vigo on Tuesday has narrowed the gap again.

Eibar will even now be certain of making sure about their top-flight status especially as two of their remaining fixtures are against Leganes and Espanyol, the bottom different sides in the current standings.

Osasuna is up to eleventh and virtually safe mathematically in their first campaign back in the top flight, and are only two points from Valencia and the top half.
