A brilliant second-half display from Kevin de Bruyne helped Belgium to a 2-1 victory against Denmark at Euro 2020. The Belgians qualified for the knockout stages with the win but still need a point to top Group B. The build-up to the match was all about Denmark’s reaction to Christian Eriksen’s collapse in their first match. A tribute was executed to perfection as both sets of fans applauded in the 10th minute for Christian Eriksen.
Yussuf Poulsen gave Denmark the lead against Belgium in the second minute. they should have doubled their lead in the first half as the best team in the world looked lethargic. De Bruyne then came on at half-time and changed the complexion of the game. He set up the equalizer for Thorgan Hazard before scoring the winner.

Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand: “We’ve felt an enormous backing from the people, from all the people following us, this whole stadium and all the people we’ve met and felt the love from – that’s what did it in the end.” he said. “And also that this group is extremely good together. We can take a lot with us from this match. Now we’ll close this one. I’m already thinking about the Russians. We are not finished in this tournament.”
