De Gea: We can’t talk about the title

Football News

David de Gea commented on Tuesday on Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Wolves in the Premier League. Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea celebrated the last-gasp win against Wolves, but as he urged attention, he declined to be carried away by growing title talk.

Marcus Rashford’s 93rd-minute goal on Tuesday powered United past Wolves 1-0 in the Premier League and up to second. United are chasing to be Liverpool’s reigning champions and leaders within two points amid a nine-match unbeaten Premier League chase.

“It was a big win, we scored a close game against a strong team at the end of the game, this is the way to stay at the top of the table, but the most important thing is to be ready for Aston Villa and recover well. They are a very good team, they defend very well, they have good counter attacks, players with frontline pace, it was a tight game, they have good chances, but scoring is al at the last minute.”
