In Manchester City, former England NT goalkeeper David James talked about the future of forwarding Sergio Agüero.
“I was going to let him go. Agüero is a hero of Manchester City and always will be. There comes a point, however, when the team depends on him and can’t move on. They’ve shown that without him, they can go on,” James said of Stadium Astro.
“While Agüero is a club legend and a dangerous threat to his rivals, he spends a lot of time recovering from injury, not always being the top scorer in the Premier League. I think the idea that a few scoring players are more important than one excellent striker is slowly coming to Man City.
If you can get some money for Agüero from PSG, especially given how long he’s been injured, you need to take advantage of it. It’s going to turn out to be a warm goodbye. There will be, I’m sure, several players who would like to move to Manchester City to take the place of Agüero.”
