Danny Drinkwater’s Chelsea career continues with a straight red card

Football News

Danny Drinkwater played a crucial role for Leicester just a few years ago when they went on to win the championship, but after he moved to Chelsea, everything has just gone wrong.

Tonight, he’s playing for U23 against Spurs, and you’ve got to think there’s a part of him that just feels it’s totally beneath him.

It would give the young players extra incentive to play against big names, but it turned nasty when Alfie Devine left Drinkwater with a bad challenge, who reacted promptly by booting him up in the air.

Needless to mention, while it’s not like Drinkwater had any chance of getting back into the first team anyway, both of them were sent off.
