Three matches were played on Tuesday evening in the 1/8 final of the Copa Del Ray competition. In the meeting between Real Valladolid and Levante UD, which finished with a score of 2:4, the most goals were scored. The players at Paco Lopez were able to enjoy the promotion.
As Toni Villa scored in the 13th minute, the hosts opened the scoring. It was the tourists, however, who came out on top after that. Eight minutes later, Enis Bardhi scored, and Michael Malsa made it 2-1 just before the break. The visitors accomplished their third goal through Coke less than 15 minutes after the change of sides.
Shortly after, however, Real was only one goal down again. The ball was headed into the Levante net by Shon Weissman. The final word belonged, however, to the Valencian club. Jose Morales put the ball in the net for Roberto Jimenez in the 80th minute.
In the clash between Girona and Villarreal, just one goal was scored. With Yeremi Pino scoring the winning goal in the 19th minute to earn promotion to the next round, Unai Emery’s Villarreal triumphed.
There were several signs that Real Sociedad, who took a long lead against Real Betis after Mikel Oyarzabal’s hit in the first quarter of the match, will also record a 1:0 away victory.
In the 79th minute, however, Sergio Canales scored to equalize and extra time was required. The protagonist was Borja Iglesias, scoring two goals to take Seville into the King’s Cup top eight.
