Brazil makes it in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying

Football News

After Friday’s win, no Neymar, no worries for Brazil, who tops the rankings on the way to Qatar 2022. Brazil made it three wins out of three games in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying after scratching out a 1-0 victory over Venezuela.

Brazil was disappointed by Venezuela in Sao Paulo, but Roberto Firmino’s 67th-minute strike proved enough for Selecao on Friday.

The South American champions dominated possession but had nothing to show for it, struggling to generate clear-cut opportunities.

Although Brazil walked away with maximum points, it was far from convincing. Tite’s men looked sluggish and predictable in the attack on the formidable tourists, losing imagination in the final third.

Brazil will travel to Montevideo in Uruguay on Tuesday, while Chile will be hosted by Venezuela on the same day.
