On Saturday, Leipzig and Leverkusen could have narrowed the distance to the top of the Bundesliga table – neither of them was successful. And Eintracht Frankfurt, the team of the hour, is pushing from behind.

On the first day of the second half of the Bundesliga season, Bayern Munich is already the winner: while Bayern will only play on Sunday, immediate rivals RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen have given up on the tumultuous afternoon of the Bundesliga. Leverkusen lost the top game to VfL Wolfsburg, losing RB to relegation nominee Mainz 05.

In 2021, Bayer Leverkusen won’t get going as expected. Peter Bosz’s team has recently weakened several times after a good and consistent first half of the season – as in the 0:1 (0:1) match against VfL Wolfsburg in the afternoon.

In the relegation battle, Mainz 05 tripped a signal rule and unexpectedly tripped RB Leipzig. The hosts recorded success of 3: 2 (2: 2), in which they equalized a deficit twice and then turned the game around. In the field, Leipzig was superior but struggled after a double lead to play the supremacy.

The Freiburg team has been waiting for a home victory against VfB Stuttgart for a long time, to be exact, since November 2012. The squad of Christian Streich prevailed 2: 1 (2: 1) against the league’s second-best away team.

After three losses, FC Augsburg was successful in turning things around. A little luck and Florian Niederlechner was enough for a 2:1 1 against Union Berlin (1: 1).

In the last three games, the Bielefeld team scored seven points and stayed without a goal for more than 300 minutes. On the other side, against Frankfurt, the promoted team suffered a strong 1: 5 (1: 3) loss.
