Manchester City has chosen to sell Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, reports BBC.

After City’s attempts to secure Sane with another contract were dismissed by the winger, Bayern has plunged to take the 24-year-old back to the Bundesliga.

Sane had one year left on his deal at the Etihad Stadium and City have selected to cash in instead of losing the German international for free in a year.

He has been restricted to only one Premier League appearance this season after enduring a knee ligament injury in the Community Shield against Liverpool in August.

Sources have said that Bayern will pay around €49 million forthright with an additional €11 million in add-ons. Sane is required to sign a five-year deal.

Sane, 24, joined Schalke City for £37 m in 2016 and won two Premier League club championships.
He was a big component on the City side that won a domestic treble last term but missed out with a knee injury a lot of this season.

The player is now expected to fly to Germany and complete the move within the next 24 hours.
While he can not play in the Champions League for Bayern this season, it is known that Stable will not return to City and has played his final match for the club.

City also agreed to a 10 percent sell-on option with the fee representing the highest ever-outgoing transfer contract.

It is also known that City can not come close to the estimated £ 20 m annual salary from Bayern.
