Barcelona set €70 m ( £ 63.23 m) offers for Philippe Coutinho

Football News

After the coronavirus lockdown put the pressure on their finances, the La Liga champions are desperate to balance the books. The club is prepared to bring down Coutinho asking cost to €70million. The amount is not exactly half the charge they paid Liverpool over two years ago for Coutinho.

Catalans are facing a tough time and are feeling the squeeze to slash their wage spending plan by the start of football’s new financial year.

Barcelona is purportedly set to price €70 m ( £ 63.23 m) offers for Philippe Coutinho. None of the clubs wants the Brazilian on next season’s books, in spite of posting nice profits for the Catalan giants and a loan spell on Bayern Munich. This has left Barcelona desperately needing a bidder before the finish of the financial year for football on June 30.

The latest La Liga outfit stance has enhanced the chance of a transfer to the Premier League according to Diario Sport. It is said that the situation is being monitored by Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United, however, each club would incline toward a loan deal.

The report proposes that Bayern could also be available to a subsequent loan spell, instead of taking up a choice to sign the 28-year-old permanently one month from now.
