Barcelona has reported that in the last 24 hours, two members of its first-team coaching staff have tested positive for Covid-19.
As per health recommendations surrounding coronavirus testing at La Liga clubs this season, the two individuals will now enter into a period of self-isolation.
As per an official club announcement, the club will now carry out an additional round of full PCR testing tomorrow morning, including all members of the La Blaugrana first-team squad.
As a precautionary measure, the first-team training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper club tomorrow was also canceled with a rescheduled session and press conference announced in due course by the club.
The squad of Ronald Koeman is expected to fly to the Basque Country on January 6 to face Athletic Club in league action, as the Catalan giants are looking to climb up to the third position in the table of La Liga with a victory at San Mames Stadium.
