After seeing his team turn things around against Sevilla, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman is optimistic about a comeback against PSG.

Koeman was happy to see his team turn the game around against Sevilla, but warns that facing PSG in the Champions League would be a completely different scenario.

After losing the first leg 2-0, the Catalans entered Wednesday’s semi-final second leg against Sevilla as underdogs. They came back, however, with goals from Ousmane Dembele and a last-gasp Gerard Pique’s effort to force extra time.

Martin Braithwaite then scored to win the semi-final 3-2 on aggregate, raising expectations of yet another comeback after their 4-1 loss to PSG in the previous round.

Martin Braithwaite then scored to win the semi-final 3-2 on aggregate, giving them hope of making another return after losing 4-1 to PSG in the first leg of their Champions League tie.

In his post-match press conference, Koeman said, “It’s easier to come back from 2-0 than it is to come back from 1-4.”

“PSG has a fantastic staff and players. We’ll start the game to win and see if we have a chance to advance.”

“I am extremely proud of my squad. I still can’t ask for anything more. We also changed the team’s mindset.”

“I wish we could have seen it in front of 100,000 people at the Camp Nou… I am hoping that some Catalans will be able to attend the final in Seville.”

With the victory, Barcelona advanced to their 42nd Copa del Rey final. It was Koeman’s happiest day as Barcelona boss, he says.

“Tonight was my best night as boss of Barça; we have made a complete comeback.” You can’t expect more from your players as a coach. We deserved to advance to the final because we were the stronger team in both games.”
