Barca to attempt to sign Puigmal

Football News

In the January transfer window, Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly preparing to sign Man Utd U23 star Arnau Puigmal. The Spaniard is considered one of the Red Devils’ best players. He has now piqued Barcelona’s interest in his U23 form, which he had previously tried to sign.

According to the Spanish publication Sport, Barca will attempt to sign Puigmal when the window opens up.

Puigmal is seen by the Barca officials as the ideal player to improve their B team, which is competing in the Spanish third division.

If he impressed the coaches in Spain, that would give the player the chance to step up.

In the U23 squad, the study calls Puigmal “the most outstanding player”, hence the interest.

Puigmal is 19 years old, and the latest campaign had an exciting start.

In only his first two starts, he has scored three goals and two assists.

Puigmal is a central midfielder who has graduated from Spain’s Espanyol Academy.

When he was younger, Barca initially tried to sign him, but they were unsuccessful.

In 2017, he joined United but has yet to make his debut.

The player represents the U19 national team in Spain and so far has played three games for them.
