After making his debut against Cardassar in the Copa del Rey, Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Ivo Grbic tested positive for coronavirus. The club says that he feels fine at home and is self-isolating.
The incidence of coronavirus is still very high in Spain. Clubs have it mostly under control, due to the assessments the players have completed.
This Friday, Atletico Madrid announced that Ivo Grbic had tested positive. The news came just two days after the keeper made his Copa del Rey debut at Atletico Madrid.
“Our player Ivo Grbic came back positive for COVID-19. The keeper does not have any symptoms and he is self-isolating at home,” the club wrote in a brief statement.
Grbic appeared in Atletico Madrid’s 90-minute victory over Cardassar. The match ended 0-3 against Atletico Madrid and a clean sheet was held by the keeper.
This optimistic outcome is pushing Atletico to change its training plans this Friday.
After they have been checked again, the majority of the players will have to practice separately.
