Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid united to launch a fundraiser to enable the most vulnerable families to hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Spanish capital.

“Madrid has by and by taking the lead in solidarity, duty, and determination. We are facing one of the most troublesome situations in our ongoing history yet we will overcome it together. Together, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid launch (Madrid for Madrid), an initiative to the advantage of our general public’s most poor men,” Real president Florentino Perez said in a video released by the two clubs.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo added: “This initiative can join all of Madrid to help the individuals who are experiencing an unpleasant period.”
