For the third time in a row, Paco Lopez’s team has taken the lead. Roger, who displayed great dexterity in the penalty area, scored the goal just after the first quarter of an hour. Ruben Rochina threw the ball at him.

The hosts’ lead did not last long, as the Basques equalized just over ten minutes later. In this edition of the Spanish Cup, Raul Garcia scored his third goal. The 34-year-old took advantage of a penalty kick with ease.

In a league match, the same player defeated Aitor Fernandez. Surprisingly, he did so with a shot from eleven meters as well. The seasoned Spaniard is an important member of Marcelino Garcia’s squad.

There wasn’t much action in the second half of the game. Aitor and Simon had every right to be tired. Neither team was willing to take a risk. Extra time was needed to decide the winner, just as it was in Wednesday’s semi-final at the Camp Nou.

The extra two-quarters of an hour was not a huge achievement, but it did get the job done. Alex Berenguer was the man behind the golden shot.

The 25-year-old went for a long-range effort from beyond the penalty area. His shot would have been saved by Aitor, but a ricochet fooled the goalkeeper. On the way, the ball bounced off Nikola Vukcevic, confusing the goalkeeper.

In the final, the Basques will face FC Barcelona.
