Atalanta beats Napoli 2-0 in Series A to be in 3rd hunt

It took just eight minutes for Mario Pasalic and Robin Gosens to overcome Napoli as Atalanta drove 15 points away from their adversaries in the top four chases with a 2-0 victory.

Atalanta went facing a much-changed Napoli with Mario Pasalic over Josip Ilicic, who set Matteo Politano back into their campaign.

The Partenopei trailed their fourth-placed rivals in the Serie A table by 12, yet in their last five league games, they had gotten full points and won the Coppa Italia as of late.

The different sides challenged an energizing 2-2 draw earlier in the season yet chances were rare without fans or a great deal of quality on appearing.

Kalidou Koulibaly could have performed well with a header when Ospina pivoted the corner on an Alejandro Gomez screen capture.

The Colombian, however, was gotten off halfway through the principal half after chasing a pass into his six-yard confine where he clattered to a teammate.
