Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil’s future remains unclear.
On loan, the 32-year-old could transfer to Fenerbahce. But Arsenal made it clear that if he leaves for the Turkish club before the end of the season, they do not want to pay any portion of Özil’s salary, The Guardian says.
Fenerbahce is seeking to find a cure for the crisis. The deal of the former German national team player lasts until the summer and at Arsenal, he receives about £ 350,000 a week.
Last Özil in the March 2020 pitch in an EPL match against West Ham (1-0). The player was not included in Arsenal’s line-up for the latest competition in the EPL and Europa League.
