Arsenal came from behind in six games to mark their fifth victory with an impressive away score, including goals from Nicolas Pepe, Bukayo Saka, and Alexandre Lacazette.

The result saw the Gunners move past Southampton, who claimed their previous meeting at the weekend in the FA Cup, with the two clubs sitting eighth and eleventh respectively.

Arsenal started quickly in the opening seconds of the game, Lacazette missing a one-on-one; Stuart Armstrong’s half-volley put Southampton ahead two minutes later.

But Arsenal fired back at them, equalized by Pepe on eight minutes, and although the home side took charge of the game around the half-hour mark, it was the visitors who scored again, Saka’s fourth goal with distinctive expertise in six games.

Southampton did their best in the second half, but they lacked the wit and zip to break Arsenal’s low block, and a clinching target on the counter always seemed more likely than an equalizer, arriving properly on 73 minutes as Cedric Soares and Saka joined Lacazette to send a tap-in. They’re coming Arsenal.
